🎓 Alumni Spotlight – Abdur Rehman

A proud graduate of the Department of Multimedia Arts, Abdur Rehman is an accomplished creative professional with over 25 years of industry experience and 15 years of academic service in the fields of animation design, game design, and visual communication. He holds dual Master’s degrees in Animation Design and Advertising & Publicity Design, both conferred with Gold Medals and First Positions, reflecting his deep dedication to academic and creative excellence.

His graduate research focused on preserving cultural heritage through visual storytelling, a theme that continues to shape his approach to design and education. Over the years, he has developed 100+ brand identities for national and international clients, and contributed to 10 academic and industry research projects addressing design history, cultural documentation, and emerging media trends.

In addition to his professional practice, he is a visual artist with participation in 10 group exhibitions and over 50 national design competition wins, highlighting his multidisciplinary expertise. Abdur Rehman has also made significant contributions to design education—mentoring students, developing curricula, and integrating industry practices into the classroom. Since 2011, he has served as a jury member for the Department of Multimedia Arts at NCA, influencing the growth of the next generation of creatives.

Currently based in Michigan, USA, he is the Owner and Creative Director of Harfun Design Studio Pvt. Ltd. (www.harfun.pk), where he continues to lead in branding strategy, visual communication, and cultural design innovation.
