As EMS Week comes to a close, we want to thank the EMS agencies we are proud to work alongside every day across our region. Yesterday, members of the SWRCC team visited our EMS partners to deliver cookie platters as a small thank you for their dedication, professionalism, and service to our communities. (Some not pictured, sorry!)

We are grateful for the strong partnership between our dispatchers and field providers, and we are honored to support the incredible work you do every day. Thank you to all EMS professionals across our region and beyond. 🚑💚

During the Bridgeport Hospital Department of Emergency Medical Services EMS Week Awards Ceremony yesterday, SWRCC Director Nicholas D’Antona received the Emerging Leader in EMS Communications Award.

“I am honored to receive this recognition from Bridgeport Hospital. The progress we have made as an organization over the past several months is because of the hard work and dedication our dispatchers, supervisors, and administrative team demonstrate every single day while serving our communities and public safety partners.

I am incredibly proud of the direction we are moving together as an organization and look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationships, improve our services, and build upon the foundation we are creating throughout the region.”

SWRCC would also like to congratulate all of the other award recipients recognized during the ceremony and thank Bridgeport Hospital and our EMS and healthcare partners for their continued collaboration and support throughout the year!

This EMS Week, Southwest Regional Communications Center would like to recognize and thank the many EMS providers we work with throughout our region every single day. From emergency calls in our dispatch towns to CMED coordination across Fairfield and New Haven Counties, your dedication, professionalism, and compassion make a difference in countless lives.

To the EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, supervisors, and support staff who answer the call day and night, thank you for everything you do for our communities.

We are proud to work alongside all of our partner EMS agencies during EMS Week 2026 and throughout the year.

Today, SWRCC was very happy to attend the open house for the new headquarters of Easton EMS. It was great to see such an amazing turnout from residents, public safety partners, and EMS agencies from across the region in support of this exciting milestone.

Congratulations to the entire Easton EMS team on their beautiful new facility! We wish you continued success and look forward to many years of partnership serving your community and the region.

Last night, Director D’Antona and Business Administrator Harrington were honored to attend the annual dinner hosted by the Noroton Fire Department.

Congratulations to the department on 130 years of dedicated service to the Town of Darien, and to all of the members recognized for their years of service and milestones.

Thank you for having us! The food was excellent, and it was a great evening spent strengthening the partnership between our organizations and celebrating the dedication of the fire service community.
