After 17 years of amazing tech services Just Computers is closing its doors September 30, 2026.

If you have any items ready to pick up, please get your products by Saturday September 19th. For all work that was checked in or will be checked in by September 19th, all work will be accomplished before and must be picket up not later than September 30th. We will not check in new work unless we are certain it will be completed on time. After that time any asset remaining at Just Computers will need coordination or appointment to pick up as there will be no services provided after that day. Email or Text is the only contact available after September 30.

My family and I are moving out of state and cannot continue to provide services from a distance. Family is most important to us and keeping it together is a priority. We will miss Sheridan and the good people we had a chance to encounter.

This is not how this was supposed to turn out. I had higher expectations as a kid watching the Jetsons.

Quote of the day (from an out-of-state repair center): "Cloning a storage drive is difficult and expensive." To which I need to address: It's neither!

We can clone your old computer to a new computer, have it look just like the old one with all your software and data (pictures, documents, etc.) just as it was on the old machine. We upgrade you to the latest Windows and you pick up right where you left off - except in a new computer!

Or, if you need a bigger storage drive, we clone the small drive to a bigger drive and nothing is lost. The Windows installation remains intact along with all your stuff - except now you have more room.

Let us make the switch for you. Don't settle for less than the best.

Note: a 32bit operating system cannot be upgraded to Windows 11 since Windows 11 is only 64bit. So, a clone/upgrade is not possible under this condition.

This is a prime example of Phishing. We do not have an account with this outfit yet they are requesting a copy of my 'merchant statement' as if I owe this to them. It's a sales scheme that wants to get you to switch credit card processing companies and they're being slick about it. It's best to report this as phishing to your email provider, then move on with your day.

"It was just a drop or two of liquid". - I hear this a lot.

This is the trackpad from a MacBook. The keyboard and trackpad no longer work. Upon inspection: Liquid damage was found on the trackpad components, corrosion evident. Unfortunately, after cleaning, the trackpad was still non-functional due to damaged components. A new trackpad and cable were installed to resolve the issue. Fortunately, this repair had a happy ending.

Please: keep liquids away from all electronics, especially $1500 MacBooks.

When liquid gets in: Turn it off and bring it in right away. Rice is not the answer. Neither is heating up the computer. The liquid needs to be removed and the area cleaned or else it will just continue to get worse over time.

Worst liquid: Beer. Beer will destroy your components in a matter of hours. Don't beer and compute.
