Rules of the Horde
$5 entry per player to battle against the Horde, Defeating the Horde awards each player a free pack from the wall ($7 or less in value)
There is 5 total horde decks, and they will be chosen at random.
Horde can only be defeated by milling out the entire 100 card deck. (no, I win effects work)
All damage dealt to the Horde causes the deck to mill 1 for each 1 damage.
Each player adds 20 life to their team's total life (max 4 players)
Each team has 1 Hour to complete the challenge.
Each team gets three turns to set up their board before the horde takes its first turn, then turns go back and forth between the players and the horde. (players take turns at the same time).
Horde can be played by another person, the defending team, or a store representative if not otherwise occupied.
Every turn by the horde goes as follows:
Untap all permanents then reveal cards until a non-token is revealed, resolve the non-token card as a spell on the stack, once resolved then any triggered effects are applied, when targets are needed for a spell or effect the targets will always be the opponents and will be chosen at random, if a spell or ability of the Horde says any number then it's all possible targets (the exception to this is if the horde has to sacrifice something then it follows normal game rules and that is chosen at random), Then it immediately goes to combat and all creatures have haste and turn sideways to attack (even if they have vigilance). Triggers for attacking go on the stack and combat begins as per the normal game rules. Once damage is finalized resolve any death triggers and then the horde goes back to sleep and the players take their turn. Repeat this until the game is won or lost.
Most importantly have fun. This is a challenge and not a free ride, you may need to build decks to specifically beat these if your normal commander decks feel unable to win.
This game will be available starting today!!!
