Born & raised in the Red Bank area of New Jersey, I’m a graphic designer and I am here to make you look good. I graduated from Susquehanna University’s graphic design program. (Susque-what?, you may say. It’s an awesome small school nestled in central Pennsylvania. It’s beautiful & has a crazy old graphic design professor who takes pleasure in making students cry.) During and after my college year

s I acquired a variety of experiences in a small print shop, a sign shop, a few small design firms, and an ad agency. Then I thought I’d take these experiences & go off on my own. I love to design, brainstorm, and talk, often all at once, as I work toward an intelligent conceptualization of all of my projects. I’m easily excited & shamelessly passionate. But most importantly…

I love to do good work for good people.

Those couple years when you're so busy DOING good work for good people that you neglect to share about it. Finally getting some of my work from the past few years up on my website :)

So proud to show off this video I had the privilege to art direct and assist in illustrating in collaboration with Pookyhonk Productions for R1 Learning! This is just the beginning of a whole line of videos we plan to create to go with our topics. I've so enjoyed working with R1 to flesh out these topics complete with models, decks, guides, and now videos to bring them to life and spark change. I promise one day I'll show off alllll the work I've done for R1, but here's a taste :)

The Stages of Change – Building Skills for Change! We're excited to share R1's first topic video in the R1 Learning System, which provides an overview…

One day I’ll have my website up to date with all the projects I’ve been doing for the past several years. One day my social media account will be regularly posted to again. One day my house will be clean again. One day I’ll sleep again. One day I’ll work at my desk or at Starbucks again instead of on the floor. But for this moment I’m just enjoying the view, doing what I love — designing for wonderful clients and designing a life I love with my family. So, yes, I’m still here, working my tail off, often in yoga pants 😏 And the newest employee finally started contributing. About time, rookie 😉

Five years ago today I walked out of my agency job and started my full-time freelance career. I’ve had the privilege of designing so many beautiful things for so many wonderful clients these past five years, including many brands that are doing some real good in the world. I’ve been so busy doing this work I’ve fallen behind the past few years on sharing it — something I hope to remedy soon. In the meantime, I sit in profound gratitude for those who have made this possible, especially my ever-supportive husband, my go-to childcare superstars (my mother and mother-in-law), my clients, and my many supportive friends and fellow creatives. Of all the things I’ve designed these past five years, the thing I’m most proud of is designing a life I love, one that gives me the means and time to be the fulfilled mom to my two most adorable creations. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

It’s been an age since I’ve posted. Work-from-home-mom-ing and toddler-raising while marching through another pregnancy (I’m due in just a couple short months) has kept me busy. Then this pandemic happened and the world turned upside-down.

Today I just wanted to share this good word that was brought to my attention as I listened to the Coffee and Crumbs podcast, which I somehow only recently discovered. Tolkien spoke such deep timeless truths in his work The Lord of the Rings. I hope you might hope in these words like I did, clinging to the truth that one day everything sad will come untrue.

I’ve been so very busy partnering with R1 Learning that I haven’t posted about it very much. Check out R1, which stands for Recovery First. I’ve been working diligently with R1 these past few years to create the Discovery Cards, a hands-on engaging tool that can help individuals and groups better engage with different topics like Phases of Addiction, Emotions & Feelings, Healthy Boundaries, Career Interests, and so much more! You have to see it to believe the impact that engaging with the decks and making intangible things tangible can have. I’m so proud of the work they do and the good work we’ve done together to build an innovative and comprehensive learning system that can change lives.

Feeling like Christmas, isn’t it? Was excited when my church, Park Church, let me play with chalk on their walls in this little ode to Christmas in Monmouth County (or MOCO, as Pastor Matt likes to call it). Can you spot all the MOCO nods?

So proud to do work for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County. Such an honor to work with people who are light in dark places. Thank you for doing what you do! If you feel moved, consider donating to this great organization.

We are saddened by the reports of yet another shooting in Asbury Park early this morning. Parents, it is our honor to greet your kids at the door each day after school to provide them with a safe place to get their homework done, and we can’t wait to see them today. Thank you to all of our supporters who empower us to do the work we do, day in and day out!

Four years ago today I walked out of my agency job and into a lot of unknowns. If only I had known that I would still be here, doing what I love for clients I love and leading a life I love — boy, would I have been less afraid. Thank you to my wonderful clients, husband, family, friends, and fellow creatives for all of your support.

I wrote this letter to myself three years ago. The words are still things I need to hear sometimes. Hope they may make you less afraid to “fail”.

A little advice for myself on my first day as a freelancer. This is the letter I wish I could go back in time and hand to myself a year ago today.

Why does design matter? Design is visual communication. Sometimes a picture really *is* worth 1,000 words. Which posters would engage you? Swipe left to see some samples of the posters we created with R1 Learning vs the visuals that are typically in rehab centers. R1 seeks to take tried and true recovery content and create engaging learning tools to make those lessons come alive and transform lives. Posters with our models are just *one* of the tools in R1’s learning system. Learn more about R1’s mission and their engaging tools at http://R1Learning.com
