This shipment of Dell PowerEdge XE9680 servers features NVIDIA H100 and H200 GPUs, along with a custom configuration tailored to our client's AI and high-performance computing requirements.

After configuration, testing, and validation, our team prepared each system for transit.

On to the next deployment.

❗ Server Talk With Gray: Custom Config on an 8x H100 Dell PowerEdge XE9680 ❗

Although worldwide inventory of H100 systems is scarce, our clients don't have to settle with just 'what's available'. We are able to engineer custom configurations, even on specialized HPC systems, to better handle the workloads that will run on these machines.

For our client, the goal was performance without unnecessary delays or hardware spend. Gray, one of our server technicians, walks through a Dell XE9680 custom configuration, part of a larger GPU server project featuring systems built with 8 NVIDIA H100 GPUs.

This project included installing hard drives, replacing CPUs, adjusting the caddy to fit the new CPU, adding a network card, and completing BIOS/firmware updates to help the GPU servers communicate at full speed through NVLink and NVSwitch.

This is the kind of hands-on technical work that helps get high-performance infrastructure ready for real workloads.
