If employees complete training and pass assessments, why do so many organizations still struggle with software adoption?
Because learning and adoption aren't the same thing.
People don't adopt technology because they memorize features. They adopt technology when they understand how it fits into their daily work.
In our latest newsletter, we explore:
✔️ Why adaptive learning alone isn't enough
✔️ The gap between learning and doing
✔️ What actually drives long-term technology adoption

After 20 years of rollouts, here is what actually moves the needle on whether teams use the tools they invest in. Adaptive learning is having a moment right now.

What if adaptive learning actually adapted to your workday?
Not your quiz score. Your workday.
Instead of: here is your next module based on how you performed.
What if it looked like: you are about to run your weekly pipeline review. Here is exactly how to do it in your system, with your data, the way your team works.
That is where training becomes genuinely useful.
After 21+ years of helping teams across industries actually use their business applications, the pattern is always the same.
People do not need more content. They need support at the moment they are doing the work.
That is what we build at LPW.
• Scenario-based training built around real workflows
• Day-in-the-life learning that mirrors actual job tasks
• Point-of-need support that exists beyond the training room
Tools like LPW Assist take it further, guiding users in real time as they complete actual tasks in their system. No memory required. Just confidence in the moment it counts.
Adaptive learning is evolving. The next generation will not just ask what does the learner need next.
It will ask what does the learner need to do next.
That shift from content to context is where real adoption lives.

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer.
It is a day to pause and remember the people who gave their lives in service to this country and the families who continue to carry that loss every day.
Today, all of us at LPW Training Services take a moment to reflect, remember, and appreciate the sacrifices that made so much possible for the rest of us.

Another great Veeva Commercial Summit is in the books.
It was a pleasure reconnecting with customers, meeting new faces, and spending the week with so many talented professionals across the life sciences community. The insights, ideas, and relationships built throughout the event are what make gatherings like this so valuable.
We appreciate everyone who stopped by the LPW booth and look forward to staying connected.

High completion rates. Low system usage. Here is why that keeps happening.
I have seen it more times than I can count.

A company rolls out a new system. The training goes well. Completion rates are strong. Assessment scores look good. Learners say the experience was positive.
Then three months later, half the team is back to using spreadsheets and workarounds.

This is not a training quality problem. It is a context problem.

Adaptive learning does a lot of things well. It adjusts difficulty. It reinforces weak areas. It moves faster for people who already know the material. But none of that closes the gap between knowing how a feature works and knowing when and why to use it in the flow of real work.

Adoption requires three things that most training, adaptive or otherwise, does not fully address.
• Context: When does this fit into my actual workflow?
• Relevance: Why does this matter for the work I do specifically?
• Reinforcement: What happens when I hit a wall three weeks after go-live?
Without those three things, even great training fades. People default back to what they know.

The fix is not smarter algorithms. It is designing training around the work itself.

What has your experience been? Have you seen teams successfully bridge the gap between training completion and actual adoption?

Adaptive learning is getting smarter. It is still missing the most important variable.
Most adaptive platforms adjust based on the same three signals.
• Quiz scores
• Time on content
• Engagement patterns
Those signals are useful. But they only tell you how someone is learning inside the training environment.
They cannot tell you what happens when that person gets back to their actual job.
The signal that matters most has nothing to do with a quiz.
It is whether someone can sit down on a random Tuesday morning, open their system, and do their work.
That is the moment training either paid off or it did not.
What gets someone to that moment is not smarter content delivery.
It is training built around real workflows. Real decisions. Real scenarios pulled from the actual work they do every day.
Across every industry and every type of business application, the teams that reach full adoption share one thing in common.
Their training was built around how they actually work. Not just around what the system does.
Adaptive learning becomes a lot more powerful when that foundation is already in place. Without it, you are just delivering smarter content to people who still do not know how it fits into their day.

AI adoption is accelerating across every industry.
But many organizations are already running into the same challenge:
Access to AI tools does not automatically create confident, effective usage.
Employees are asking:
• When should I use AI?
• How does it fit into my actual work?
• What can I trust?
• What are the risks?
That gap between access and confidence is where adoption begins to break down.
At LPW Training Services, our AI Enablement & Adoption Courses help organizations build AI readiness through practical, role-based learning designed around real workflows and real business scenarios.
Because successful AI adoption is not about learning prompts.
It is about helping teams use AI responsibly, effectively, and confidently in the flow of work.
Is your organization preparing people for AI, or simply providing access to it?
