You may have noticed some changes recently — a new name, and no more shop on Whites Path. Both decisions were made with you in mind.

Our trademark name, "OnCall Computer Services," had been adopted by so many other businesses across the country that searching for us online became a confusing maze. To stand out and serve you better, a fresh identity was the right move. And the shop? The truth is, the vast majority of you prefer the convenience of an in-home, on-site visit — so that's exactly where I'm focusing my energy.

That said, I still have my fully equipped repair lab and workshop, with easy ground-level walk-in access — so if you’d prefer to drop something off, that option is always there too.

With those changes came a loss of hard-earned referrals and reviews that once helped new customers find and trust us. That's where you come in.

Please backup your Pictures, Documents, and files. Walking into my store with your half-blown-up computer under your arm does not make me responsible for your loss when we try to fix the wreckage left after everybody you know has attempted a repair. OnCall is not responsible for your data at any time or circumstance.

I have lost count of the unpaid hours and money I lose trying to help people in distress and paying the emotional price for being the last chance and the last one you call.

I promise to do my best with what you ask of me. You know I have many years of experience, but it is a waste of time when I am the last one you call.

And one last rant: I don't support Apple. I will not pay the $$$$ ransom required to become an Apple-registered vendor. For all your needs, go to the Apple Helpdesk in Hingham, MA. People who claim to repair Apple devices can only buy spare parts with a valid Apple certificate and the Apple-certified reseller registration on the wall.

I know i do the things that many would not, but then i have been doing it longer than most and i do it well… all this micro solder work to replace a broken power socket… Mission accomplished!

I have to smile, for so many years i have practiced my art and enjoy it because if you dont love it then it is hell, sheer stress and the worry yet here I am. Today I am replacing a power connector, a fiddly funky job , have to clear the solder and pull the old one by taking out the motherboard…. Have to remember where it all goes 😝

Please note - we have moved Next door to Unit 1, we were in Unit 2 so no big difference but the Office space is way better :) we will be settled in soon I promise and already fully back to business now I need a Chiropractor lol!
