Another 8.4-in U connect Dodge screen replaced! If you have the 8.4-in screen in a Chrysler product, more than likely you are going to have problems with a delaminating screen. They used the wrong glue to hold the touch screen component to the glass and it melts and actually runs out the bottom of the radio inside the dashboard. Then, you have phantom touches on the screen as you go down the road. Radio stations change by themselves, heat turns on and off, heated and air conditioned seats turn on and off when you hit bumps. The dealer's answer? $2,000+ for an entire new unit. My answer? Disassemble the unit and replace just the screen. I charge around 1/4 the cost of replacement to replace a screen. I've done two this week. If you need this service, give me a shout!

Hello everyone! I have been super slammed for the holidays and have not made an update for quite a while. Christmas is in 13 days! Hello! I have a really great deal on an absolute top of the line radio. Thought I would post it here for my followers first. I traded in my F-150 for a new vehicle and I removed this from my personal truck. It was immaculately cared for.
It is the Kenwood DNR1007XR, It is a 10.1 inch tablet style radio that hangs off the front of the dashboard. It has all of the options. Wireless Android auto and carplay, built-in Garmin navigation, satellite radio compatible, rear, front and side camera input, will connect with a iDatalink maestro interface. It has a double DIN chassis. Legitimately, one of the nicest units on the market today.
I hate to part with it but both my wife's and my vehicle have bigger screens from the factory.
I am offering it for $1,250.00 obo.

Another screen repair in the books!
If you have a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep
With the 8.4 inch u connect screen, you may need to come see me at some point. Unfortunately when they built these radios the factory glue that they used to adhere the touch screen digitizer to the glass fails after several years of being in a warm/cold car. That leads to bubbles in the screen like the first picture shows and causes unwanted touches on the touch screen as you're going down the road. I can fix that! I order new screens from a source I have, disassemble the radio and install the new screen. It's about 1/3 the cost of buying a new radio and I can generally get the whole thing completed in under an hour once I have the parts. Give me a call to schedule yours today!
