We are pleased to inform you that our network providers, Lumen, Ezeefiber are operational and continue to be stable. Zayo is still currently experiencing an extended outage and cogent is up and down – unreliable currently. We are in a fully redundant status currently with each carrier terminating in different edge routers in the TRG facility.
Zayo and Cogent Status: Our partner providers are waiting for the local power company to complete their repairs and allow access for the fiber team to begin repairing the fiber. They do not expect to have access to the damage location until later today at the earliest. We will share additional information as we receive it. There continues to be extensive damage to fiber infrastructure for both carriers.
Special Acknowledgments:
• Ezeefiber: We commend Ezeefiber for their fast response and exceptional service during this challenging time. They brought up a new network for us within 12 hours, which allowed us to continue to pass traffic for our clients. This is unheard of in our industry. We made the decision on our customer's behalf to sign a new contract with Ezee to bring on another carrier since their network survived the initial damage. Their dedication and quick actions have significantly contributed to maintaining our network's integrity. The addition of Ezeefiber to our bandwidth blend enhances our redundancy, ensuring even more reliable service for our clients.
• TRG Infrastructure: We also extend our gratitude to TRG for their excellent and reliable infrastructure, which ensured that power was never lost in our facility. They brought up cross connects to our new carrier addition in hours which is also amazing as well as new customers from the colo facility that needed to get back online which we then turned up new connections to those customers in under 12 hours to bring those that were single homed to downed carriers back online. Their commitment to providing robust and dependable services is greatly appreciated.

The addition of Ezeefiber to our bandwidth blend has provided us with an extra layer of redundancy, further safeguarding our network against potential disruptions. This strategic enhancement ensures that we can continue to deliver seamless and reliable connectivity, even in the face of unforeseen challenges.
Today, we also executed a new contract with Crown-Castle for IP transit, which will further enhance our reliability – hopefully ensuring 100% uptime for future events. This is part of our commitment to you, our customer. Crown did not lose its network during the storm, so it was a logical choice for us to add them.
It was an event that, for its mild severity, caused network issues with multiple carriers simultaneously that I have not seen in my 30-year career in the fields across multiple geographies. It took out 3 carriers through various fiber outages, data center failures at their core POPs, simultaneous generator failures at the carriers, cooling outages, and finally, network card failures. These events converged in an unprecedented way to take all three of our upstream carriers offline for 6 hours, which was painful at best.
We feel confident that the changes we have made by adding key new carrier relationships on top of the existing ones based on the actual storm operational experience this week will enhance our uptime and your experience. We feel it important to learn from and, more importantly, act on new knowledge and experience to stay ahead of the game.
