Despite some difficulties, Destinies is a sprawling story worth the time to play. My family and I will set this game up and play an hour or two each night. Each scenario takes us about three nights.
The story and exploration are what keep us coming back. With its wealth of text and options, the app serves as a guide, leading you through the many branching paths and toward your one Destiny.
Sometimes, we find it difficult to know what we are supposed to do to complete our Destiny, but if you keep exploring, you eventually find your path.
Story aside, the characters you can play for each scenario are fixed, and it is a 1-3 player game. You can purchase the Bound by Fate expansion, allowing you to play a 2 vs 2-player game. I wish it had a cooperative game mode, where 2-5 characters work together towards one Destiny.
Lucky Duck Games will hopefully release "Into the Godsgrave" by the end of this year. It is a cooperative game that allows you to choose a character, yet the gameplay will be similar to Destinies, so I am looking forward to it.
