We are delighted again to be involved in lighting the streets of Springfield to bring some much needed warmth and cheer during the winter. We hope everyone is staying safe, and still finding joy in their day-to-day lives even through all the craziness.

Every year it is our honor to bring twinkle and cheer to the neighborhood during the holiday season. The tradition of "lighting the poles" creates an inviting avenue for visitors passing through our lovely town and brings about a sense of warmth and community for all who live here. The cold winter months and inclement New England weather can be pretty tough on the light strands, and replacing them annually presents a significant ongoing cost. Thankfully, when we all work together, we can make it happen! We presented the community with the opportunity to help the good cause, and the outpouring of enthusiasm and financial support has been overwhelming. We are so grateful and moved by everyone’s generosity. A special thank you goes out to HB Energy Solutions and their merry elves for hanging the banners and doing such a beautiful job of putting up the lights. HB provides us with an enormous amount of assistance with this project, and we’d like to give a huge shout out to Brian Hernon and his team for their amazing efforts setting up Santa’s house and doing the legwork for the tree lighting ceremony. We’d also like to express our gratitude to Jeff Graham of Graham & Veroff, P.C. for donating such a beautiful tree for the Downtown Holiday Program. Thanks to Bibens Ace Hardware for their support, as well as Old Mill Road Recording (Media) for their contribution. Much appreciation goes to our partners, Springfield On The Move and the Springfield Garden Club of Vermont, for the lovely wreaths, and thanks to the individuals and downtown businesses that decorated the storefronts so creatively. Thank you also to the Town of Springfield, Vermont for approving some necessary repairs to the electrical system. And we hope you got a chance to check out SOM's new lighting of the falls which can be viewed from the Park Street bridge! The downtown avenue is looking festive and bright, and the Chamber wants to express utmost appreciation to the following organizations and individuals who helped us to Light the Poles for the holiday season:

Dragonfly Designs sends everyone some dragonfly strength.
The dragonfly possesses the power of the light! The dragonfly symbolism carries with it the wisdom of change and learning through experience. It's the symbol of joy and lightness, and having a deep connection with your thoughts and emotions.
Hope everyone is staying as healthy and safe as possible.
Believe that better days are coming.
Faith in people - we are in this together.
Patience with others - try to understand that everyone will have different ways of coping.
Love your community - we will need to support those small businesses that have suffered.
Survivors - we will have survived, once again, the challenges, the fear and the unknown that are here now.
Share the power of light.

It truly takes a village. We are always looking for ways to bring some extra warmth to our community, and have such an amazing Chamber of Commerce here in Springfield that works hard to create these opportunities.

Cheers to another amazing holiday season!

We'd like to express a big thank you to all the wonderful folks who helped us to Light the Poles this past holiday season! Every year the Springfield Regional Chamber of Commerce decorates the lamp posts on Main Street in downtown Springfield with banners and white lights to bring twinkle and cheer to the neighborhood during the winter months. This tradition creates an inviting avenue for visitors passing through our lovely town and brings about a sense of warmth and community for all who live here. We are so grateful and moved by everyone’s generosity. Thanks to Bibens Ace Hardware for their support, and we’d also like to express our gratitude to Christmas Trees At Bishop Farm for donating such a beautiful tree for the Downtown Holiday Program. Much appreciation goes to our partners, Springfield On The Move and the Springfield Garden Club, for the lovely wreathes, and for adding extra sparkle to the adjacent trees, and thanks to the downtown businesses that decorated their storefronts so creatively. And a special thank you to HB Energy Solutions for hanging the banners and doing such a beautiful job of putting up the lights. HB provides us with an enormous amount of assistance with this project, and we’d like to give a huge shout out to Brian Hernon and his team for their amazing efforts setting up Santa’s house and doing the legwork for the tree lighting ceremony.
