An email that reads exactly like the pastor asks for the mission trip deposit to be paid, with new payment details. The tone is right and it comes from someone the team trusts. That's exactly what scammers count on, and with AI they can now copy how someone writes.
Good security training helps your staff and volunteers spot suspicious requests and gives them the confidence to pause and ask. One quick call to the pastor, using a number you already have, can stop a scam.
Encourage questions. Thank people for checking. Let your team know the pastor would always rather be asked.
