CompuTara LLC

CompuTara LLC Computer Consultant For over 25 years, I have worked closely with clients on a one-to-one basis, helping them transition into the world of technology.

It all began with a part-time position at my local library where I was hired as the "computer assistant". I advised patrons on how to use the new digital card catalog system and navigate the world wide web. I then started taking on private clients. I would set up their new computers and show them how to use the software. I was told I was immensely patient. Those clients referred me to their friend

s and family. My little side work snowballed and I realized I had a nice business going which I also adored!

My specialty is in working with seniors and older adults because I am compassionate, an active listener, aware of their various needs and I enjoy them very much!

My expertise is in solving problems - troubleshooting to find solutions. People hire me to work at finding the answer to their computer problems. I don’t give up, and if I cannot produce a solution, I will refer to an alternative colleague.

My background is in mathematical sciences which provides me with excellent problem solving skills. I also hold a certification in graphic and web design.

By patiently teaching, guiding and instilling confidence in others, I have garnered long-lasting client relationships with unparalleled testimonials.

March 5th is National Day. I urge you to read this article, especially this section on Avoidance.

How to Avoid a Scam

Protect yourself, friends, and family — If you receive a suspicious call, text, email, social media message, or letter from someone claiming to be from Social Security:

Remain calm. If you receive a communication that causes a strong emotional response, take a deep breath. Talk to someone you trust.
Hang up or ignore the message. Do not click on links or attachments.
Protect your money. Scammers will insist that you pay with a gift card, prepaid debit card, cryptocurrency, wire transfer, money transfer, or by mailing cash. Scammers use these forms of payment because they are hard to trace.
Protect your personal information. Be cautious of any contact claiming to be from a government agency or law enforcement telling you about a problem you don't recognize, even if the caller has some of your personal information.
Spread the word to protect your community from scammers.

Yesterday I set up a new desktop computer for a client. Her old desktop was 11 years old. We laughed about the difference in size of the old and new. Incredible! 😆
