Thank you for choosing me to work on this project with you! I had so much fun working on this and designing Phi Guy. It was a blast!
I started this page back in January of 2020 with no intention of it being anything other an a depository for the memes I made and used in my classes. My former logo was fine for when I had just a few dozen followers; but the logo was uninspired and it didn’t do much to capture the dynamic of the page or communicate anything about it. So, to show respect for the followers of this page, I commissioned a graphic designer friend of mine to create artwork to serve as my new logo. The only direction I gave her to was to incorporate the Greek letter Phi. I think she hit it out of the park. She came up with this little fellow (whom I call “Phi Guy”) drawn in a shape that reinforces the letter Phi and is shown thinking about philosophy. I couldn’t be happier with the new logo, and I’m embarrassed that I waited so long to have someone with creative vision and technical skill help me find a face for the page that is as thoughtful as it is whimsical.
