Wow...128GB of RAM! Talk about an upgrade!
Our customer wanted to take his system from 32GB up to 128GB of DDR5 to handle the tasks of streaming, video editing, and content creation.

Were the only shop in town with repair benches dedicated to custom and gaming system repairs and upgrades!

Repair of the week:
Customer was experiencing frequent crashes and high temperatures on their system. We determined the primary issue was due to overheating of the CPU/GPU. Temps were hitting 90c+.
The liquid coolant had permeated out of the system and introduced air. Once the system was under load and the coolant was flying around, it was clear that air bubbles were causing a huge loss in the cooling performance of the unit.

After draining and flushing the system, and applying new thermal paste, we were able to get temps back down into the 60's under full system load.
We dusted out the case, the fans, the radiator, and even booted the unit to Windows so we could perform our maintenance, optimizations, and performance enhancements. We even updated the BIOS on the board. All in the name of making sure the computer is purring like a kitten when the customer comes to pick it up.

We were interviewed today regarding identity theft, cyber security, and the prevalence of online scams.
Just a friendly reminder that it's a really good idea to use a different password for every online account you have.
Don't make it easy for someone to hack you :(

Identity theft has become a prevalent issue in Springfield, with scammers employing various tactics to deceive and exploit unsuspecting individuals.

We LOVE working on gaming systems!
Some before and after photos of a recent repair we performed.
Not only did we diagnose and fix our customer's issue, we also performed maintenance, some cable cleanup, and performance tweaks.
Our customer was VERY happy when they picked up their system.

Springfield PC PROS is looking to hire a full time Computer Repair Technician to assist with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing Desktops, Laptops, and Gaming Computers. This position is primarily in-house performing diagnostics and repairs on the repair bench, and occasional on-site customer visits as necessary. Also, this position will require direct interactions with customers on a daily basis.
Our ideal tech should be neat in appearance, love technology, be personable, and have great communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform troubleshooting and diagnosing of a wide variety of computer issues involving Desktops / Laptops / Gaming Computers.
•Complete Laptop/Desktop disassembly/reassembly to install/replace motherboards, drives, keyboards, GPU’s, screens, etc.
•Identify ways to improve performance of customer equipment including upgrades.
•Cleaning/Dusting of computers, equipment, and Parts during the course of repairs.
•Creating repair tickets and keeping accurate documentation and notes on repairs performed.
•Design and assemble custom gaming computers.
•Directly interact with customers on a daily basis including via SMS and phone calls.
•Perform other duties as needed. (Including working some Saturdays)

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE:
• Minimum 3+ years of experience or training
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills
• Micro-soldering is BIG plus!
• Be neat and clean in appearance
• Have excellent communication skills
• Possess the ability to explain technical terms in non-technical ways
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
