IT admins worldwide are scrambling after a faulty update from CrowdStrike caused thousands of PCs and servers to crash. Even though CrowdStrike has fixed the issue, many systems are still down, affecting banks, airlines, supermarkets, and TV broadcasters.

Here’s the workaround:

Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment
Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory
Locate and delete the file “C-00000291*.sys”
Boot the host
