I don’t have a good caption for this so here’s a little shpeal. Since I’m a freelancer who works solo, it’s been a little bit of a challenge to get on here and make social media fit in my schedule. I know I should post more. But good design takes time and good art takes time. And I can’t seem to keep up with the sheer demand of art, lettering, or design. Despite all that, I thought I shouldn’t leave you guys in the dust for so long. So I decided to get back on here. I wonder if I can keep up. Pray for this humanoid.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’re probably aware that I do not paint with acrylics. Or should I say that I’ve never painted with acrylics all my life. Most people think I moved from oils to acrylics but the truth is I made a leap from water color to oil paints and I’ve never been happier.

Anyway, this time I came across some acrylics and I decided to randomly whip up a painting from my imagination and this is how it turned out. It’s aight. The best part though was that it sold. Like literally on the spot!

What about you? What’s your favorite medium of painting or art or anything? I’m always curious how and why anyone chooses one over another.

I know it’s been a LONG time since I posted. But I was a little too excited and it was a little too easy to not post about receiving book, The Heart of Design. As a branding and website designer who is also Muslim, my profession, culture, and religion has intersected in some complex ways. To see the projects and challenges faced by Peter, another Muslim designer like myself, is beyond exciting. I’ve followed him for years. And now I can’t wait to see all the things I’ll learn from reading it! 😆
