We're thrilled to announce we just wrapped up an inspiring project with the Midwest Black Family Reunion (BFR)! For their big event in August, we created a magazine dedicated to showcasing the incredible organizations doing good in the community.

It was an absolute pleasure collaborating with the BFR director and connecting with so many impactful groups to gather their stories and visuals. The result is a vibrant publication that introduces the public to the changemakers in their own backyard!

Several weeks ago I received a phone call about doing a small magazine of sorts. What surprised me about this, it was completely out of the blue. The lady had picked up my business card that I left at the truck rental the day we moved to St Louis. She had the card for several months and she said that God kept telling her to call and use me to do this magazine. She didn't ask to see my work, and she didn't know me from Adam. She just said do it and I did it. I suppose when God or whatever universal being tells you to do something, you just do it.

Everything fell together with it and I was pleased with the outcome. This is for the Cincinnati Black Family Reunion that took place down at Sawyer Point. The 16-page magazine is to facilitate different organizations that make a difference within the community.

Yet another happy costumer! She purchased the Crazy Cat Lady 1890's Inspired T-Shirt in Heather Prism Lilac.
One of the great things about being a shop owner is getting to know your clients. This lady lives on the West Coast, but we found out she grew up in the same city I did. Then she lived in the same small town in Kentucky I did. Now one the west coast, she stumbled upon my Goetta shirts and we have now become acquaintances here on FB. I always enjoy that sort of interaction.

Did you know you can look at most business pages here on FB and see where they are located? Many look like the photo below. Based in a different country.
Even many of the political t-shirts supporting one guy in particular, or freedom to bear arms and such, are located in different countries, which I find rather funny and ironic.
How do you see this information on where they are located? Click on "About" when you are on a business page, then go to "Transparency". Sometimes there is a button that says "See all" below the first block of info that you can see more information.
I know now a days, some push to support USA based products and designers.
Here is the transparency from me. The majority of shirts I use are made in Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras or the US. The shirts are printed in the USA.
I could source USA T-shirts but the reality is, the consumer is not willing to pay that price plus they are very hard to find from printers that I use. I have a price point of $22 for S-XL. In order to make a profit, I would have to go up over $32ish for USA made T-shirts. Trust me, you don't sell t-shirt unless you are at a concert for that price. If you are willing to source and produce that product at that price, I will be happy to order it for you. I will make it happen.
Now for the designer, I am located in the basement of my home in St. Louis, MO in a suburb called Des Peres. It is not as bad as it sounds, locked away in a basement. I have a window right above my computer, music and freedom to run my own business.
