We're coming to the end of the semester, and the adjunct teachers got an opportunity to showcase student art at UMSL FAB this week. My Graphic Design I students: project 2--Graphic Compositions. Breaking space with shape and form. A project I designed for my students. Half of them are non-majors. Pretty nice work. ❤️

I took over 3000 pictures while traveling 20 days through Italy. So many great images, so little time to go through all of them. This one is a favorite though. I fell in love with Burano. It had amazing color schemes on every house and shop. I've been dreaming of all the colors since I returned, and decided to create a few color palettes from them.

It was the last day of teaching for the Semester. My Freshmen Graphic Design 2 class did a nice job on their first logo designs. They named a fictional urban farm, and researched what kind of logo it would need to convey the feeling of a grocery store/farm sitting on 10 acres in Old North St. Louis. They chose two names: City Farm and Urban Essentials. Five students per name worked on individual logos. 2/colors. Here's a few of them. Kudos to Jonathan, Hahn and Shy! Well done!

I love teaching college students how to use Adobe Illustrator software. Some of my most creative moments are spent with my students as I watch them grow and develop as artists. I feel delighted when I see how much they've learned as Non-art majors with zero art classes ...and look at what they've accomplished. It's Satisfying work. Kudos to my Students: Jon, Trish and Tom from Intro to Digital Media non-art majors.
