Wired Impact

Wired Impact Building the easiest way for a nonprofit to launch a site they're proud to share with the world. One they're proud to share with the world.

Innovative website technology and the support you need to get the most out of it — built and priced solely for nonprofits. At Wired Impact, our mission is to help every nonprofit build a website their visitors will love. Websites start at $99/month and are built on WordPress, but imagine if WordPress was totally built for a nonprofit from the ground up. Plus you get hosting, software updates and o

ngoing support whenever you need it at no additional cost. Connect your website with the tools your nonprofit is already using to save time and avoid manual date entry. Plus every website includes a dedicated project manager and support you'll love, including our team making changes to your website on your behalf to free you up to spend more time working on your mission. If you're exploring building a new website that does your cause justice, we'd love to hear more! Feel free to book a call through our website, or give us a follow here. We're looking forward to hearing more about your cause!

"We're the best kept secret in our area. How can we build more awareness that we exist?"

We often hear from nonprofits who feel like the "best kept secret" in town.

They're doing amazing work. But not enough people know about it.

This exact problem came up during a recent Nonprofit Website Office Hours.

Here's how we think about starting to address that issue.

Balancing multiple website audiences can feel impossible — especially for nonprofits.

But it doesn’t have to.

Here's how we broke down tackling this challenge during a recent Nonprofit Website Office Hours.

And if you're struggling with appealing to multiple audiences, bring it to our next Office Hours in a few weeks and we’ll do our best to help!

"We have multiple websites to showcase our programs. Any pros and cons to this approach?"

We got this excellent question during a recent Nonprofit Website Office Hours. It comes up all the time for organizations who have multiple programs or ways they engage their community.

This short video walks through how we think about it.

Have a question about your nonprofit's website? Bring it to Office Hours on Wed. Oct. 9th! Any question you have about your website or online marketing is fair game.

Hope to see you there: https://wired-impact.webinargeek.com/nailing-messaging

How do you get an unruly, confusing website under control without rebuilding?

We call these "Frankensites" and see them all the time.

It typically happens when a website has changed hands over the years and there have been too many cooks in the kitchen.

Hopefully this short video helps you get your site back to a good (or at least manageable) place.

We'll share a couple of the resources mentioned in the video in the comments below.

Special thanks to Becca L. for the insightful question!!

Google Analytics is deleting our historical data next week!

Here's a full walkthrough of how to save it.

At the end of June, Google is removing access to Universal Analytics ("old Google Analytics").

This effectively means our old data will be inaccessible after next week.

We spent a few hours earlier this week exporting our Wired Impact data. And we documented the process as well as the reports we found most helpful.

Hope you find it helpful too.

If you know any nonprofits (or anyone really) who could benefit from this info, please share it with them.

Planning a nonprofit website project?

Start here.

We hear from orgs all the time that planning a website project is stressful.

They're excited about building a new site. But also overwhelmed by where to start with the whole process.

We built the Nonprofit Website Project Prep Kit to hopefully make that process a lot less daunting.

It includes sections like:

+ The 3 most common approaches to building a nonprofit website
+ Budgeting for your website project
+ Finding the perfect partner (even if it's not us :)
+ Avoiding common project delays
+ Breaking ground on your website project

If you know a nonprofit thinking about tackling a website project, hope you'll share it with 'em. The goal here is to save them some time and frustration along that journey.

And if you have any questions not currently covered in here, send them our way. We'll be improving this Prep Kit all the time.
