Truly great software happens when someone who is an expert at what they do identifies an opportunity to define the future of their profession, or at least disrupt or advance their own vocation. It’s when an industry expert can tease apart a situation into its intuitive pieces and recognize the opportunity to solve a specific problem through computation. This hard-won insight needs to be coupled with technical expertise, a trusting and ethical relationship, and great coffee.
