Throwback Thursday: A St. Peters Landmark With a Story to Tell

On March 10, 1920, 64 former servicemen gathered at All Saints Hall in St. Peters to form a new American Legion post. They chose to name it for a local sailor who never made it home from World War I.

More than a century later, American Legion Post 313 still carries his name, and its historic home on Main Street still stands.

From a ship lost in the Atlantic to small-town dances, community service, and generations of veterans, discover the remarkable story behind one of St. Peters’ enduring institutions.

For 147 years, the people of Fenton have shown up for St. Paul Catholic Church. From a priest traveling by horse and buggy to building a church, school, and parish hall, generations have helped keep this community strong.

Today, that same spirit of community is alive and well. St. Paul parishioners recently pledged more than $258,000 to the Annual Catholic Appeal and raised $23,000 for neighbors in need through their St. Vincent de Paul golf tournament.

And now, their Queen of Hearts raffle has climbed past $84,000—with only THREE cards left on the board! 👑

One card holds the Queen of Hearts, with a projected payout of over $42,000. The other two cards each pay $2,000.
