James Vallejos / SDS is annoucing the closing of Sterling Digital Service. While this has been a tough decision we know the time is right.
SDS was recently on a service call at one of our customers office when failure hit a major production computer belonging to a national corporation. The comapany being unable to repair remotely was informed I was present and could assist with their problem. SDS did in fact repair and get the production computer up and running quickly. Within 5 minutes the corporation called SDS and asked to talk. A meeting was setup, I was asked if i was interested in joining there team. What followed was a parade of different individual from within the company. Starting with their lead technician, HR department and and the creation of a new position in Colorado with a FULL job offer.
SDS was never previously interested in shutting its doors, but the job offer, along with a full array of benefits and Paid Time Off is too much to pass. A starting date of August 20th has been set. Thing are happening quickly and we must close.
Iwould like to thank the many people of Sterling and Logan County and the surrounding area for the 30 plus years that you have put trust and faith in my abilities and for the success you gave Sterling Digital Service.
The new position will allow me to live in Sterling or even pick up and move. However I can honestly say Sterling is my home, the people of this community are no doubt rare, and OUR way of life surpasses anything a big city has to offer. Peace and tranquility cant be bought, but i can.
Lastly, many customers have asked who I would recommend to service their organization or the businesses computers. I can not in good faith recommend any of my former competitiors. Our ways of doing business and showing the customers full respect is diametrically different.
Thank you all again and thanks to my former employers that stuck with me. Ken Horner at Journal office Supply and Jim Edwards at New Age Electronic. Thanks a million. It was a ride
