St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Sterling, Virginia is hosting a FREE Haiti Benefit Concert & BBQ on Sunday, August 23 from 6–8 PM. Everyone in the community is welcome!

There will be award-winning BBQ, live music from St. Matt’s 930 Band and Chasing Magic, the Marigold Bus & Booth photo booth (The Marigold Bus and Booth) , face painting, games, and more.

The evening benefits Saint Mathieu School in Chapoteau, Haiti, helping provide food and education for more than 200 children. Donations are welcome for those who would like to support the school.

Making friends as an adult is weirdly hard. 😂

You can have a full calendar, a demanding job, family, errands, and plenty of people you 'know'...but still wish you had more people to actually 'do things with'.

That is why I created Live Local Social.

It is for adults who are ready to get off the couch, explore Northern Virginia, try something new, and build real friendships along the way.

Not awkward networking.
Not forced small talk.
Definitely not a dating app.

Just fun local experiences with good people: coffee meetups, trivia nights, brunches, live music, bike rides, dinners, volunteer days, and plenty more.

Singles and couples are both welcome. Come alone, bring someone, or show up knowing absolutely no one. That is kind of the whole point. 😉
