Notice how the Cisco Meraki Outdoor WAP was mounted when I arrived!
Can you guess why this wireless access point shorted out?!
Notice how the actual access point is mounted upside down! It looks like not only could the rain run directly into it, but there was nothing to prevent the weather from entering an outdoor wireless access point that cost over $2,000! The other posting is how the access point is supposed to look after installation. Notice the drip loop underneath so if any water does run down the wire it drips off at the drip loop as well as the proper waterproofing materials that come with the outdoor access point! Of course there's also the fact that it wasn't mounted upside down!
