Our very own Judge Flores! Read the original post to get to know the Randall County JP 4 Judge.
We thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to Randall County!
JPCA District 1 Justice of the Peace Spotlight!
Judge Joanne Garcia Flores is the youngest of four brothers and nine sisters. She was raised in a small town in the Texas Panhandle by the worldβs best, hardworking, God-fearing parents. Her father and mother taught her to work hard and keep God first. Judge Flores's father and mother were prison ministers at an orphanage in Mexico while also pastoring their church, which her father built from the ground up. Her parents successfully managed all their ministry work while her father owned his own construction business, working many hours and supervising a team of laborers.
Judge Flores attended elementary, middle, and high school in Hereford, Texas. After that, she attended Amarillo College. Her goal is to return to college and earn her law degree.
During her tenure with the JPβs office, she has received certifications of required training through the Texas Justice Court Training Center.
Judge Flores's personal achievement story began about 30 years ago when she started working for a local law office, where she learned to love law. About seven years later, one of her mentors and county commissioners asked her to accept a job in the Justice of the Peace Office in Potter County Pct 2. She stated, "I was even more intrigued with the JP position watching my Judge work". She knew then that becoming a Justice of the Peace was her dream and goal.
The County Judge appointed Judge Flores to serve as the Interim Justice of the Peace of that Court due to the illness of the sitting Judge; however, another individual was elected for the position of Justice of the Peace Pct.2 Potter County.
But dreams really do come true, because Judge Flores is now honored and proud to serve as the newly elected presiding Justice of the Peace in Pct. 4 in Randall County, after a primary and run-off election against two opponents.
Her passion for public service is because she wants to serve and work hard for the constituents. She has absolutely no doubt that this is her calling in life. It is a desire deep in her spirit and heart.
Judge Flores has many goals to reach in her career, but one that stands out is to serve the constituents and make a difference. She wants everyone who walks into the Randall County Justice of the Peace, Pct. 4 office to know they will receive fair and equal justice. Judge Flores said, "I want to bring back respect and trust into the office of the Justice of the Peace PCT. 4 Randall County. I have a vision for the future and I'm confident that I will complete each goal with the support and strength of God, my excellent staff, my family, and the precinct."
Please Congratulate Judge Joanne Garcia Flores!
