Originally introduced through a department-wide coloring book project, Ash quickly became a friendly face for local fire prevention efforts. This year, Ash got a uniform upgrade to match the department’s refreshed gear—along with a new set of bold, eye-catching safety patches designed to keep fire safety top of mind for kids and adults alike.

Parker Brand Creative Services was tasked with transforming the newly approved owl-and–pine cone mark into a fully realized mascot—one that could flex across programs, activities, and environments while remaining true to the core identity of DeRidder Parks.

The result is a character designed with purpose and longevity in mind:

This wasn’t just about creating a logo—it was about building a flexible, durable visual system that can grow with the department and adapt across programs, facilities, and future initiatives.

We’re proud to share one that hits close to home—literally.

The new City of Sulphur gateway monument sign, located just off Exit 20 on eastbound I-10, was designed by Parker Brand Creative Services to reflect Sulphur’s identity with pride:
Faith. Family. Community.
Gateway to the Creole Nature Trail.

Made possible through a project enhancement grant from Visit Lake Charles and expertly fabricated by GIBKO Signs, the new monument welcomes travelers with solar-powered lighting, vibrant landscaping, and a bold message that reflects the heart of our hometown.

As Sulphur natives, this project means the world to us. Our creative roots were first nurtured in the commercial art classrooms of Sulphur High School, making this sign a full-circle tribute to the place where it all began.
