Introducing the June Repete Pet of the Month: Annie!

Meet Annie, the 2-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever who proves that a little adversity is no match for a good attitude.

Annie is a sweet, calm, and loyal dog. She loves swimming, chasing chipmunks through the yard (even though she hasn’t managed to catch one yet), and above all else, eating. If you know Labs, you know that last one comes as no surprise.

Last year, Annie was hit by a car the day before New Year's Eve and lost her back left leg. It was a scary and heartbreaking moment for her family — but Annie had other plans. Within a few months she had adapted remarkably well, regaining full mobility and getting back to running and climbing just like before.

Join us in celebrating Annie as our June Pet of the Month — a three-legged swimmer, chipmunk chaser, and all-around good girl! 🐾

Introducing the May Repete Pet of the Month: Penny, the 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP). Penny is a skilled bird hunting dog with endless energy and a strong drive to work and play. She got her name from a perfectly round, penny-sized spot on her back that stood out the day her family picked her up from the breeder at just 9 weeks old.

Penny loves being outdoors and is always on the move. Running, swimming, playing tug, keep-away, and chasing after a bumper in a game of fetch are some of her favorite ways to stay busy. She’s eager to please and highly reliable when working, with a dramatic personality that always keeps things entertaining. If she gets bored, she’s not afraid to get a little destructive to show that she’s ready for her next task.

Her training started early, beginning at just 5 months old and continuing through 14 months. All that hard work paid off when Penny competed in a NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association) Natural Ability test, where she scored an impressive 107 points and earned a Prize 1 award. She now puts those skills to use, taking on mourning dove, duck, goose, and pheasant.

Penny is an incredible hunting companion - and an even better pet. Join us in celebrating Penny as our May Pet of the Month!

Introducing the April Repete Pet of the Month: Andromeda!🐾

Meet Andromeda—better known as Annie—a lovable terrier/retriever mix with a big personality. Annie was adopted from the Wisconsin Humane Society at just 8 weeks old after making her way from a shelter in Arkansas.

Annie is a total cuddle bug who always wants to be as close to her people as possible. She has a way of plopping down on the nearest human and, if she feels she’s being overlooked, will happily “insert” herself into just about any situation to make sure she’s included.

When she’s not soaking up attention, Annie enjoys a few simple favorites - cheese at the top of the list (she is a Wisconsin dog now, after all), followed by playing endlessly in the snow and burrowing into the biggest pile of blankets she can find. If blankets aren’t available, a pile of laundry will do just fine.

With her affectionate personality and constant need to be part of the moment, Annie keeps things lively and ensures there’s never a dull moment.

Join us in celebrating Andromeda (Annie) as our April Pet of the Month!
