September’s Sweet Pet of the Month: Brownie!

Brownie is a 5-year-old Teddy guinea pig who joined her family after their daughter did lots of research in third grade to prove she was ready for a pet of her own. Teddy guinea pigs get their name from their dense, short, crinkled coats that give them their teddy bear-like appearance. Brownie is mostly dark brown with a few light brown spots, including one that looks like an off-center mustache.

Brownie and her sister, Cookie Dough, were adopted after being surrendered by their owner in Michigan. They live a pampered life in a large cage where they feast on hay, pellets, and lots of fresh vegetables. Brownie enjoys snuggle time and going for walks in her special stroller! When the refrigerator door opens, she “wheeks”—a noise similar to a squeal or squawk—to say, “I want food!” Brownie also gets the zoomies from time to time and races around her cage, either being the chaser or giving chase, depending on the day. Either way, she provides lots of entertainment for her family.

August's Energetic Pet of the Month: Hank

Meet Hank, a 7-month-old mix of Poodle, Corgi, and Australian Cattle Dog with a big personality packed into a small frame. True to his herding breeds, Hank takes his job seriously! His favorite toy is his herding ball, but if it's not around, he'll happily try to herd people into the "right" place instead.

Hank is full of energy and loves spending his time swimming, playing fetch, and enjoying a good game of tug-of-war. Even though he's only about a quarter the size of the other dogs in his pack, he does his best to keep up with them and never wants to be left out of the action.

When it's time for a reward, Hank's favorite treat is canned chicken. Whether he's herding, playing, or keeping up with the big dogs, Hank brings plenty of enthusiasm wherever he goes!

A beautiful evening on the Milwaukee River made for a wonderful company outing! Between delicious food, refreshing drinks, scenic views, and a magician who kept everyone entertained, it was a great opportunity to relax, connect, and spend time together. Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun night on the water!

July's Pet of the Month: Bear!

Meet Bear, a four-year-old German Shepherd and Newfoundland mix. Bred from purpose-bred working lines, Bear weighs an impressive 112 pounds. He was rehomed last December after a Milwaukee police officer needed to find him a new home.

Over the past several months, Bear has settled right into his new home and gets along great with his feline siblings—Stella, Beverly, and Danny. He loves car rides, playing fetch, and spending time outdoors, no matter the weather. If you're lucky, you may even spot Bear visiting the Repete Sussex office with his owner!

Bear is a sweet, affectionate companion who enjoys meeting new people, especially if they happen to have a treat in hand!

Introducing the June Repete Pet of the Month: Annie!

Meet Annie, the 2-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever who proves that a little adversity is no match for a good attitude.

Annie is a sweet, calm, and loyal dog. She loves swimming, chasing chipmunks through the yard (even though she hasn’t managed to catch one yet), and above all else, eating. If you know Labs, you know that last one comes as no surprise.

Last year, Annie was hit by a car the day before New Year's Eve and lost her back left leg. It was a scary and heartbreaking moment for her family — but Annie had other plans. Within a few months she had adapted remarkably well, regaining full mobility and getting back to running and climbing just like before.
