Have you ever experienced the Doorway Effect in your business?
You start with a radical, revolutionary mission, but by the time you're in the thick of it all, you’ve completely forgotten the point of it all.
It happens to the best of us. We start out bright-eyed, clutching a vision for the world so tightly that the wet ink leaves a silhouette on our palms.
Sounds a bit fresh and vulnerable, right?
But then, we get distracted by the hollow metrics of "success".
We stretch ourselves too thin, trying to measure up against industry giants who built their thrones on the very standards we wanted to defeat.
I say this with my whole chest, so trust me when I say:
Blazing your own trail is exhausting, and fighting that water will eventually wear you out.
But please, for the love of everything good in the world, do not forget that your ideas and your mission were never meant to sink— they are meant to float.
When the pressure of burnout hits, don't just keep fighting the current.
Take a moment to catch your breath, lean back, and remember your original 'why'. That 'why' is your flotation device— and it's the very thing the current system fears most.
Let's bring it back to the roots today. Drop your original 'Why' in the comments! Let's remind each other why we started.
