For new parents, estate planning rarely makes the priority list, but it should.

Here are few takeaways from our latest episode:

→ Guardianship and trusts are the foundation. Designating guardians, structuring trusts for minor children, and building in flexibility through trust protectors gives families room to adapt.
→ Funding strategy matters. 529s, Roth IRAs, gifting trusts, and qualified education gifts each serve a different purpose.
→ It's not one-and-done. Plans need to evolve as families grow.

Thomas Kopelman is joined by Lisa Weigel to explore the essential estate planning steps new parents need to take.

Today, Wealth.com announced a $65 million oversubscribed Series B.

We believe wealth management is being rebuilt in real time.

The old model, fragmented tools, manual workflows, and inconsistent outputs, cannot keep up with the complexity advisors face today or the expectations clients have for tomorrow. The firms that win will be the ones that can scale expertise with precision, consistency, and trust. That’s what we’ve been building.

Over the past year, we’ve seen that shift accelerate:

▶️ AI workflows on our platform grew 664%
▶️ Expanded across RIAs, broker-dealers, and the largest financial institutions
▶️ Supporting firms representing over $15T in client assets

At the center of this is a simple idea: Estate and tax planning shouldn’t live in separate systems. They should be unified into a single intelligence layer that powers how advice is delivered. That’s the future we’re building toward.

To the firms, partners, and investors building alongside us, thank you for believing in a better way to deliver advice.

We’re just getting started. 🚀

What comes next changes how advice is delivered. 👀

Tomorrow at 8:00AM ET we're sharing a major announcement.

Today, we’re introducing AI that doesn’t just assist—it executes.

With the next evolution of Ester Intelligence, advisors can move from question to action in a single, seamless workflow across estate and tax planning.

Ester goes beyond surface-level insights. It:
• Analyzes estate documents, tax returns, and financial data
• Identifies planning opportunities and strategies
• Runs deterministic calculations grounded in real law and proprietary data
• Generates client-ready deliverables for review

All in seconds.

This is what it looks like when AI becomes a true teammate—not just a tool.

And now, Ester Intelligence can be embedded directly into the systems advisors already use, bringing estate and tax intelligence into the core of every workflow.

This is the future of planning.

Trusts get tossed around as if they’re one product, but they’re really a set of design choices you can use to match a client’s goals.

Here are the 4 trust “either/ors” that come up most in planning conversations:

🔹 Revocable vs. Irrevocable (flexibility vs. permanence/advanced strategies)
🔹 Individual vs. Joint (one grantor vs. two; often spouses)
🔹 Inter vivos vs. Testamentary (set up during life vs. at death)
🔹 Grantor vs. Non-grantor (who reports/pays the income taxes)

For advisors: the labels matter less than the outcome—control, timing, taxes, and administration.

Read Part 1 for the full breakdown:

Learn all about trusts and how they function as part of a comprehensive estate plan in this guide to trusts for estate planning.

📝 Outdated POA = Hidden Risk for Clients

Even “valid” POAs can fail when it counts. Banks are tightening standards, digital assets need explicit authority, and older documents often don’t align with today’s ex*****on requirements.

What advisors should watch for:

- POAs executed before recent statutory or institutional updates
- Missing digital-asset permissions
- Multiple co-agents (a common rejection trigger)
- Outdated witnessing/notarization rules

Why it matters:
Delays or refusals happen at the worst possible moment, undermining the client experience and your practice.

🔒 At Wealth.com, our POAs evolve with state laws and modern asset types, so you and your clients stay protected.

A proactive POA review demonstrates thoughtful client service, prevents family emergencies, and naturally opens the door to broader estate planning conversations. Don't wait until incapacity makes the update impossible. Leverage Wealth.com to deliver peace of mind and operational clarity to your cli...
