A customer brought their computer to me stating that their computer wouldn't even turn on. When I got the computer I immediately observed what they were telling me. I then started with the power supply test and that seemed to do okay. So I started pulling parts out to find out what on the motherboard was not doing right. I still couldn't quite figure it out and the last part I pulled out was the CMOS to drain the residual power and upon doing this, the picture says it all...the customer built their own computer and did really good work. I was impressed. This just so happened to be an unfortunate mishap. Within the past 6 months I have seen tons of capacitors broke or blown, not both.
