Nanaimo Search and Rescue (SAR) is, once again, hosting ‘Rescue on The Rock” in the spring of 2026. This is a large scale training exercise that welcomes ground SAR teams (GSAR) from across Vancouver Island, Powell River, and the Lower Mainland. Over 100 participants converge on the Nanaimo River area to learn and practice for both water and land-based scenarios.
