The 2026 Boot Certificate Deadline and Why It Matters ---

Many PCs built before 2024 still rely on an older Secure Boot certificate called Microsoft UEFI Certificate Authority 2011. That certificate reaches its end in late June 2026. After that point, systems that remain on the old certificate can enter a degraded security state, and in some cases may experience boot issues where your Laptop or Desktop PC could have trouble starting up and loading your Windows Profile Account. Microsoft introduced a newer certificate called Windows UEFI CA 2023, which improves protection against modern boot-level threats. Your goal is simple: make sure your device has the newer certificate in place before the deadline.

How to Get Your BOOT ON

Booting a computer is the process of loading an operating system. It’s the process that starts when we turn on the computer (using the power button or by a software command) and ends when the operating system is loaded into the memory.

The Boot Process is the sequence of events that occurs when a computer is powered on, transitioning it from an inactive state to an operational operating system. It involves triggering firmware (BIOS/UEFI) to perform a Power-On Self-Test (POST) to check hardware, loading the bootloader, and finally loading the operating system.
