Hugo Gerbi, CET, past President and company founder passed away Oct 29, 2021 at his home at 98. He started TV Lab out of his Father’s basement, and in 1950, with his late wife Regina, bought the current 213 Litchfield St property which he expanded in the 60’s and again in 1970. Hugo actively worked in several fields during the 68 year company existence, doing antenna and satellite installs, 2-way radio, car radio, CB radio, Am-Fm, TV, burglar alarm systems, home audio, etc. Unafraid to fail, with tremendous foresight, he introduced the area to many new technologies during his tenure at the company. He had several other electronic related interests during this time including his purchase and service of his Cell Tower site on Highland Ave which was in his namesake, Gerbi Communications. He retired at the age of 82 in 2003 after suffering a major stroke that he managed to survive. RIP.
