Hello, everyone! A lot of people have been asking about Tigercon, so we feel that we should make an official statement. After discussing it with the executives and other members of Anime Club, we have come to the decision that Tigercon is going to be canceled this year and for the foreseeable future. This is because three of the four current executives will be graduating this semester and it would not be right to leave such a large project in the hands of people who have no experience setting it up. Towson Anime Club attendance has also fallen these past few years, and with stricter rules from the university for large public events, it would be very difficult to obtain the manpower we need to run Tigercon efficiently. We thank you for your understanding and appreciate your enthusiasm for Tigercon, but it will not be happening this year.

Update: To those asking about fundraising/crowdfunding, we have no doubt that these methods would work. The problem is that the application deadline for events held this year has passed. No matter what we do, Tigercon will not be held this year. BUT this is not the end of Tigercon. We will be back next year! An unfortunate set of circumstances caused us to begin gathering service hours very late in the semester and that will not happen again.

Greetings everyone! It is with a heavy heart that we must say Tigercon will not be held this semester. We were unable to get enough service hours so we will not be receiving the funding we need. It is unfortunate that we could not make it happen this semester, but we will do our very best to make sure Tigercon is held next time.

Hello, Tigercon 2014 attendees! We hope you had a great time at the convention! It was a smashing success this year with around 900 attendees! We hope to see you next year for another crazy con.

And now, we do apologize for the no weapons and/or masks rule and to everyone who had to put away their awesome sword or take off their amazing mask. Unfortunately, its campus policy and Baltimore County law, so there is nothing we can do. Next con we will sure we get the word out about these rules earlier.

Hey guys! Are you all excited for Tigercon? It's in a little more than a week, and we would like to remind you of a very important rule!

Tigercon does not allow prop weapons! Please refrain from bringing your prop weapons or you will be asked to put it back in your car! This includes sword, paddles, keyblades, guns, claws, basically anything that looks like a weapon. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are on a college campus and prop weapons are prohibited for safety reasons. We will have a police officer helping us enforce this rule this year, so it will be strict!

We are proud to announce that Geek Comedy Tour is coming to Tigercon again for not just one, but two events! Geek Comedy Tour shall be having both a comedy show and a Q&A panel at Tigercon! Be prepared to be entertained!

Panel applications for Tigercon have closed as of yesterday! All applicants should hear back on their acceptance or denial by September 20th, though we hope to have them out much sooner!

Hello, future Tigercon attendees! Tigercon is around a month and a half away and we are waiting with bated breath for Towson University’s annual free anime convention and we hope you’re excited for it too! Now, those of us on the Tigercon Committee have something important to say. The executives of Tigercon want to issue a formal and sincere apology to all the artists and dealers who submitted their information to our Wordpress and did not receive the later update that we had to switch systems. When we first opened applications on May 2nd, Wordpress encountered a site-wide glitch that prevented us from receiving any of the information sent to us by our applicants. We only discovered this a few days later, and so on May 8th we decided to switch over to Google Forms. Unfortunately, in our haste to move from Wordpress to Google, we neglected to post this new information to our Wordpress. Again, we apologize to the artists and dealers who applied early, only to find out too late that their information was rendered unusable. It was a mistake on our part and we will take measures to make sure that this does not happen again.
