The Fairchild 670 may be the Holy Grail, but the magic starts back even further with the Fairchild 660. Rein Narma’s mono masterpiece was released around 1959, and licensed by the Fairchild Recording Equipment Company. In total, only around 800 of these beauties are believed to have been made.

This 660 has been at the Vintage King Tech Shop over the past few months getting serviced by Senior Technician Rich Hunt. Rich has been busy tidying up wiring, tightening pots, and fixing switches on the unit. In addition to an extremely deep internal and external cleanup.
