Firecom

Firecom Since 1989, Firecom has led the industry in providing advanced communications technology. Firecom is a division of Sonetics Corporation.

When firefighters are on an emergency call, even one missed command or garbled message can spell tragedy. That’s why more than 100,000 fire and ambulance crews around the world depend on Firecom for crystal clear communication under noisy and challenging conditions. Our rugged headsets, intercoms, and radio interfaces ensure all crew members can hear and be heard during emergencies, while providin

g much-needed hearing protection. We also pioneered the development of innovative wireless headsets, which allow crews to stay in continuous contact without being tethered to an intercom or belt pack. And we back our systems with one of the longest and most inclusive warranties in the industry. Our ComCare Service Plans provide up to five years of extended protection and expedited customer care. It's just one more reason why emergency responders entrust their safety to Firecom: the clear choice for dependable communication when it matters most. Sonetics is a leading global source of comprehensive communication solutions for work teams in fire and rescue, aviation and ground support, marine, military, public works, construction, and other challenging environments.

Pump testing and training - but make it easier.

Without headsets, attendees at the California Fire Mechanics Academy had to step away from the pump just to hear instructions over the noise.

With Firecom wireless headsets, they stayed right at the pump — hearing every instruction clearly while seeing the equipment up close in real time.

Better communication means more effective training, less repetition, and more hands-on learning where it matters most.

We joined Sauvie Island Fire on their airboat to put Firecom wireless headsets to the test in one of the loudest environments crews face.

Before, engine noise made it nearly impossible for crews to communicate with each other on the boat — or with their lieutenant back on the dock. Now, with Firecom wireless headsets, they can:

✔ Clearly hear each other, even at 4000 RPMs
✔ Push-to-talk over radio
✔ Communicate with command on shore
✔ Protect their hearing from constant engine noise

Clear communication matters — especially on the water.

Firefighters work together to remove a vehicle door in this extrication drill while an instructor provides real-time direction and safety reminders. Being able to hear commands, corrections, and encouragement over tools and training noise helps the evolution run smoother and keeps everyone focused on the task at hand.

FDIC International is just ONE MONTH away! Come visit us at booth 1922 to experience how Firecom can make training more efficient. In this drill, firefighters practice triangle plunge cuts while learning how to feel for joists and adjust their saw work to avoid compromising the roof system. With V2 headsets, instructor and students communicate over chainsaw noise so instructions aren’t missed and hearing is protected.

During a wildland fire training, firefighters use a UTV to move around the site, monitor conditions, and coordinate safely. Instead of shouting over engine and helicopter noise, wind, and distance, the crew stays connected using Firecom wireless headsets, allowing them to communicate clearly while in motion.
