My mom is a photographer and when I decided to start my own business, I new I needed some photos of me for social media. I called her and we set a time when she could take pictures of me. I obsessed over my props and outfit and when the day arrived, I didn't even worry about those things. I just had so much fun in front of the camera and being with my mom. I love these photos turned out and will definitely be sharing more from this photoshoot soon ☕💻💐

When hiring a virtual assistant, it is important to keep in mind that there are multiple ways to complete an admin task. You might do tasks a certain way but I could do it another. This is why I never skip the onboarding process when hired. During that session, we walk through the tasks I will be doing for you and you will take me through the steps you normally follow to complete it. It might take some time before we are both on the same page but once we have the process down, working together will be a breeze.

When I was deciding on a logo and branding, I was advised to go with neutral colors because that appealed to people most. While I love a good neutral color scheme, I knew I had to stick with what I love: pinks, reds and blues. While others are planning on blending in, I wanted to stand out and give a sneak peek about what working with me is like. In my first post, I talked about celebrating with business owners. I wanted my logo to reflect that and that's where I found inspiration for my my disco ball logo. I want business owners to know that while we work to grow your business, we also take time to celebrate your past wins and your journey. I wanted a logo that was fun and I believe I have achieved that, if I do say so myself 🪩🪩🪩🪩

If you haven't read my first post yet, you probably don't know that I work part-time as a Microsoft 365 Concierge Ambassador. Basically, I troubleshoot Office products and help fix account issues for small businesses. As a customer support agent, we ask for feedback and while many people weren't willing to provide any, I did get a few who found my help worthy of a review. On this case, the woman was having some extremely complicated issue with Outlook that lasted a few days. When I couldn't reach her on the phone, I would send her steps to try and she would report to me with updates. We would go back and forth until finally, the issue resolved and we could close the case. Tech issues bring out the worst in us and I followed up the next day to make sure the issue stayed resolved.

If you're wondering what makes a person, specifically me, decide to become a Virtual Assistant, the first is, as I explained in my first post, the opportunity to work with incredible business owners. The second would be the ability to set my own hours. While I don't have any kids atm, I do have my amazing grandparents. Growing up they were more like fairy grandparents and it scares me a little to see them getting older because I don't know how much time I will have left with them. I love getting breakfast with them, taking them shopping and just hanging out with them. I wanted a job that would allow me to spend more time with them and that is why I chose this path.
