🚨 True story from our team last month...
Our AI meeting assistant flagged this in the notes: "Recurring observation: ArcLight has a notable track record of being on site shortly before fraud is uncovered."
So apparently we're fraud magnets now. 🕵️
The reality? We work with a lot of clients in regulated industries. Some have unfortunately discovered employees stealing. We were on site because we're always on site, that's what we do. The AI just noticed a pattern and wrote it down like it was a clue in a true crime podcast.
Then it offered to auto-send that summary to everyone in the meeting. 😬
If you're using AI notetakers in your business, here are three things worth knowing:
✅ Your pre-meeting conversations are being recorded. That casual chat before a client joins? The AI is already listening.
✅ Always review before sharing. AI summaries are interpretations, not just transcriptions. Read them before they go anywhere.
✅ Turn off automatic distribution. Sharing should be a deliberate decision, not a default setting.
We love our AI tools and they aren't going anywhere, but like any tool, you need to know how they work before they work against you.
Has your AI ever put something awkward in writing? Drop it in the comments, we could use a laugh.
