Does your current IT support make you smile? 😬

If you're running a dental practice, you've probably felt at least one of these:

↳ Outdated systems slowing everything down
↳ Constant worry about protecting sensitive patient data
↳ Compliance regulations that feel impossible to keep up with
↳ Downtime and outages eating into your productivity
↳ An IT partner that just doesn't get dental offices

These aren't small frustrations, they're real obstacles to running a smooth, successful practice.

You shouldn't have to live with tech that works against you.

ArcLight Group specializes in IT support built for dental practices, so you can stop managing tech headaches and get back to focusing on your patients.

💡 Let's talk about what relief actually looks like.

🚨 True story from our team last month...

Our AI meeting assistant flagged this in the notes: "Recurring observation: ArcLight has a notable track record of being on site shortly before fraud is uncovered."

So apparently we're fraud magnets now. 🕵️

The reality? We work with a lot of clients in regulated industries. Some have unfortunately discovered employees stealing. We were on site because we're always on site, that's what we do. The AI just noticed a pattern and wrote it down like it was a clue in a true crime podcast.

Then it offered to auto-send that summary to everyone in the meeting. 😬

If you're using AI notetakers in your business, here are three things worth knowing:
✅ Your pre-meeting conversations are being recorded. That casual chat before a client joins? The AI is already listening.
✅ Always review before sharing. AI summaries are interpretations, not just transcriptions. Read them before they go anywhere.
✅ Turn off automatic distribution. Sharing should be a deliberate decision, not a default setting.

We love our AI tools and they aren't going anywhere, but like any tool, you need to know how they work before they work against you.

Has your AI ever put something awkward in writing? Drop it in the comments, we could use a laugh.

The biggest cybersecurity threat to your business isn't a hacker in a dark room. It's your most trusted, longest-tenured employee accidentally clicking the wrong link.

The people you trust most are often the highest-risk targets — not because they're careless, but because attackers know it too. Phishing emails, spoofed domains, and social engineering are designed to fool smart, busy professionals.

Training matters. But training alone won't protect you.

Here's what actually moves the needle:

→ Multi-factor authentication on every account

→ Zero-trust access controls (assume breach, verify everything)

→ Real-time threat monitoring, not quarterly audits

→ A culture where reporting a mistake is safe — not shameful

Your people aren't the problem. An environment that relies solely on human perfection is.

"We have cyber insurance" is not the same as "we're protected."

Here's what most companies don't realize until it's too late:

→ Sub-limits in your policy can cap ransomware payouts at a fraction of what you expect

→ File a claim, and you may get dropped entirely

→ Renewals after an incident? Think 10–30x higher premiums

Having a policy and being covered are two very different things.

Your cyber insurance policy isn't a security plan. ArcLight Group CEO Brian Largent explains what actually happens after you file a ransomware claim: the sub-limits, the premium spikes, and the math that falls apart.

Most companies focus on the ransom. That's the wrong number to watch.

The ransom is often the least expensive part of a ransomware attack.

Here's what the real bill looks like:

💸 $100K+ in forensic investigation fees
📉 Days (or weeks) of lost revenue while systems are down
🖥️ Full hardware replacement — often unavoidable
📈 Cyber insurance premiums that can jump 30x after a single claim
⚖️ Legal exposure, regulatory fines, and reputational damage that lingers

Attackers know this. They price the ransom low enough that paying feels like the "easy" option — even as the hidden costs pile up around you.

The real cost of ransomware isn't in the demand letter. It's in everything that comes after.

Is your organization prepared for the full impact — not just the ransom?

The ransom is the smallest line item. ArcLight Group CEO Brian Largent breaks down the real cost of a ransomware attack: forensics, lost revenue, insurance fallout, and years of rebuilding.
