OWNER OF TALLY'S CHARGED WITH STEALING $7700 IN GOODS FROM SAM'S CLUB
Earlier this year, the Tulsa Police Retail Crimes Unit began an investigation in Talal "Tally" Alame the owner of Tally's Good Food Cafe in Tulsa.
Between September and November of 2022, the Sam's Club at 42nd and Sheridan reported Alame stole $2500 in merchandise using the store's Scan & Go feature, which allows customers to skip the checkout line and pay through the app.
The store reported that Alame was selecting large quantities of items, but only scanning and paying for a few at a time. This allowed him to leave the store with a larger quantity of merchandise than he paid for.
The same Sam's Club reported Alame stole $4300 in merchandise between December 2022 and March of 2023 using the same method.
The Owasso Police Department also investigated Alame performing the same crime at the Sam's Club in Owasso, stealing $900 between February and March of 2023.
Altogether, the store reported Alame stole more than $7700 in merchandise. The items stolen include, but are not limited to: Whipped Cream, Sour Cream, Cheese, Sugar, Mashed Potatos, Salmon, Avocados, Storage Containers, Pinto Beans, Hash Browns, Bread, Salad, Foil, Frozen Shrimp, Mozzarella Sticks, Peaches, Chocolate Syrup, Ground Cinnamon, Plastic Forks, Toilet Paper and Juice.
Alame was arrested by Tulsa Police Officers on 7/14/2023.
Tally Alame is charged with:
- Larceny from Retailer (2 Counts)
- Larceny from Retailer under $1000 (4 counts)
This is an arrest, not a conviction.
