MYTH: If it's wireless, it should work everywhere.

FACT: Wireless microphone performance depends on much more than the microphone itself.

Factors like frequency coordination, antenna placement, interference, and overall system design all play a role in how well a wireless system performs.

That's why two churches can use the same wireless microphone and have completely different experiences.

Before assuming your wireless system needs to be replaced, it's worth evaluating the RF environment and system setup.

Have questions about wireless microphones or other AVL challenges? Our team has experts who can help with design, troubleshooting, and planning for future growth.

One of the ways we continue to serve churches well is by investing in ongoing training for our team.

Recently, members of CCI Solutions had the opportunity to attend an ETC workshop in Middleton, Wisconsin.

The workshop covered a wide range of topics, including:
✔ Theatrical lighting fixtures
✔ Architectural lighting
✔ Lighting control systems
✔ Rigging
✔ Industry best practices

Technology is constantly evolving, and we believe it's important to continue learning so we can provide the best possible solutions and support for our clients.

Thank you to ETC for hosting a great workshop and helping us continue to grow our expertise.

Does your broadcast mix seem to change every time Front of House adjusts gain? 🎚️

Here's a workflow tip that can help:

Once you've established proper gain staging during rehearsal, you can disable preamp control and use digital trim instead.

This allows:
✔ FOH to mix for the room
✔ Broadcast to mix for the stream
✔ Independent adjustments without affecting each other's gain structure

The result? More consistent mixes and fewer surprises during the service.

FAQ: Why does my audio system hum or buzz?

Unwanted noise can be frustrating, but the cause is often something more common than you might think.

Ground loops, power distribution issues, damaged cables, and interference are some of the most frequent sources of hum and buzz in church audio systems.

In this carousel, we share a few practical troubleshooting tips and explain where to start when tracking down the problem.

If your church is experiencing persistent audio issues, our team has experts who can help troubleshoot, optimize, and design systems that perform reliably week after week.

Happy Father's Day!

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures who faithfully lead their families and serve their communities.

As we partner with churches across the country, we're continually encouraged by the men who invest their time, talents, and hearts into serving others—often behind the scenes and without recognition.

Thank you for your leadership, your faithfulness, and the example you set for future generations.

We pray you have a wonderful Father's Day filled with joy, encouragement, and time with those you love.

Why does good design matter?

Because every decision made during the planning phase affects how a system performs for years to come.

A well-designed AVL system considers more than today's needs. It takes into account future growth, volunteer workflows, infrastructure, maintenance, and long-term usability.

Many of the problems churches face later—limited expansion options, difficult workflows, infrastructure bottlenecks, and unexpected costs—can often be traced back to design decisions made at the beginning.

That's why we believe great projects start with great planning.

If your church is evaluating an upcoming AVL project, we'd love to help you create a system that serves your ministry well for years to come.

Who you work with matters.

We've had churches come to us after working with another integrator and tell us, "We wish we had started with CCI Solutions."

We've also had churches try another company for a smaller project and later come back saying, "We should have just stayed with you."

The reason is usually not about the equipment.

It's about the experience.

It's having a partner who communicates clearly, follows through on commitments, finishes the job, and is there when you need support.

At CCI Solutions, we believe serving churches means more than providing technology. It means building trust and helping ministries succeed for the long haul.

If your church is planning an AVL project, we'd love the opportunity to serve you.

Our team recently had the opportunity to attend a THOR : demo and spend time learning about some of their latest products and solutions.

We're grateful for opportunities like this to continue growing our knowledge, strengthening our partnerships, and staying up to date on the technology that helps churches communicate effectively.

Thank you to the THOR team for hosting us!

Who should control the preamps when splitting audio between Front of House and Broadcast?

In most church environments, the answer is Front of House.

FOH needs immediate control because they're responding to live conditions on stage—musicians move, microphones change, and unexpected issues can happen during a service.

Broadcast should typically use digital trim to make mix adjustments independently without affecting the FOH engineer.

This approach helps keep both mixes stable and prevents unexpected level changes during the service.
