🆘 Attention Windows 11 Users: Important Storage Alert! 🆘
Hey everyone, heads-up from your go-to PC repair team: Microsoft’s latest Windows 11 update (build 24H2, specifically KB5063878)—released August 12, 2025—has been linked to serious SSD and even some HDD issues during heavy write operations (around 50 GB or more)—especially if the drive is more than 60% full. In severe cases, users report their drive disappearing from the system entirely, sometimes leading to unrecoverable data loss.
While Phison NAND controllers seem particularly susceptible, other brands and controller types (including WD, Corsair, SK hynix, ADATA) have also reported issues.
What You Can Do Now:
Pause or delay the update—especially if your drive is nearing capacity or you plan large file transfers.
