CMDI Affordable, integrated campaign technology for Republicans. No other software is used to raise and report more money for Republicans than CMDI's.

Since 1981, CMDI has provided innovative data management solutions for non-profit, corporate and political organizations. Technologies have changed dramatically in 30 years from bulky mainframe equipment to web-based systems accessible globally. What has not changed is the CMDI commitment to meeting the needs of clients and providing friendly, professional service. In 2011 CMDI celebrates 30 years

of growth, service and success with appreciation for past opportunities and excitement about the next 30 years. CMDI is proud to introduce Crimson, a new, cutting-edge finance tool for Republican finance staff and treasurers. GOP campaigns use Crimson to raise and manage money because our platform collects and integrates data in ways never before available to Congressional and Senate campaigns. No other company was ever trusted to service all three national committees and four Presidential campaigns, simultaneously. You may visit our Crimson product site, www.crimsoncrm.com to discover a new era in political technology. There you can see how Crimson seamlessly integrates fundraising and compliance teams over these mediums:

• Direct mail, email, and internet campaigns;
• Social media, events, bundling, and telemarketing;
• Cutting-edge mobile phone integration for instant on-the-go fundraising and credit card processing

CMDI’s ability to assess client needs and provide solutions has been evident throughout the company’s 30 year history, particularly for Presidential campaigns. CMDI devised the first system for electronically filed matching funds reports with digital check imaging for the Dole campaign in 1996. The Bush-Cheney ’04 campaign’s tracking of money raised by Pioneers and Rangers was possible because CMDI systems handled bundling information long before any discussions about required reporting. The McCain, Giuliani, Romney and Thompson campaigns in 2008 had data flowing into CMDI systems in new ways with unique integration solutions in every case with web sites and widgets. Recently CMDI’s forward-thinking approach has led to major donor fundraising enhancements including club program support, pledge systems, event tracking and fundraising call management that have boosted fundraising efforts at the NRSC and NRCC. Crimson, our new web-based fundraising tool, provides interactive functionality and reporting in personalized web pages for bundlers and the fundraising teams they recruit. A newly created application, Crimson Mobile, provides donor information from any hand-held device. As CMDI works toward new solutions for the future, take comfort in the knowledge that they will only be available to political clients who are Republicans or organizations supportive of Republican efforts. We believe this distinction will also be important to Congressional and Senatorial campaigns, state parties and conservative PACs as CMDI releases new product offerings this year.

When donors give across multiple channels, overlimit contributions can sneak up on a campaign fast.

Crimson's Compliance Dashboard and overlimit reports give you the tools to catch those donors early and fix the problem through reattribution or redesignation instead of a refund.

Our latest Feature of the Month post shows you exactly where to look and which reports to run.

Primary season is officially here. If your campaign is running in a federal race, that means FEC deadlines are already on the clock, including 48-Hour Notices for contributions of $1,000 and over.

CMDI put together a free one-pager with 2026 primary dates listed alphabetically by state. Print it out, hang it up, and stop scrambling to look up dates mid-cycle.

With the 2026 election cycle in full swing, it's time to pay attention to the 48-Hour Notice period for your campaign.

Federal campaigns are required to file 48-Hour Notices for any contribution over $1,000 received between 20 days and 48 hours before a primary or general election. That window moves fast, and manually hunting for qualifying donations every day is exactly how things get missed.

Crimson's Email Scheduler solves this. Once configured, it runs a daily Money Search against your database, filters for contributions of $1,000 or more entered the previous day, and sends the results straight to your inbox. You set it up once, it works in the background, and your compliance team always knows what needs attention before the deadline hits.

The post walks through the full setup, step by step: building the search filters, saving the query, scheduling the daily alert, and knowing when to turn it off after the reporting window closes.

If your primaries are coming up soon, now is the right time to get this running. Read the full guide at the link below.

🗓️ Don't Miss the January 31 FEC Filing Deadline!

With the first FEC deadline of 2026 just weeks away, now is the time to ensure your committee stays compliant. Since 2026 is an election year, most committees are required to file either monthly or quarterly reports.
Filing Frequency by Committee Type:

📊 Quarterly: House and Senate campaign committees
📊 Monthly: National party committees
📊 Quarterly OR Monthly: Presidential campaigns, PACs, and state/district/local committees

Remember: If you need to change your filing frequency, you must notify the FEC in writing and can only make this change once per year.

Download our comprehensive one-pager with all monthly and quarterly filing deadlines for 2026 to keep your committee on track throughout the year.

When in doubt, always verify your specific requirements with the FEC.
