HISTORY:
Rabid Nerd, LLC was organized as a Public Benefit LLC as of January 1st, 2021. Rabid Nerd, LLC is a woman-owned, disabled-owned company organized to improve access to technology. Herb Riede, Lisa's fiance and "Rabid Nerd", serves as the COO. Previously, Herb Riede operated Rabid Nerd Productions from 2002-2020. Starting in Warren as HLR Computer Programming in 1992, then becoming HLR Comp
uter Services, Rabid Nerd Productions had run a FidoNet BBS, built and serviced computers, created software such as games and utilities, even dial up internet service. Since 2002, Rabid Nerd Productions has provided hosting and domain registration, Rabid Nerd Productions have operated award winning websites and seeks to provide services at low cost with low maintenance. As of 2021, we are Rabid Nerd, LLC, a Pennsylvania Public Benefit LLC. We are organized:
- To create a digital ecosystem with a positive effect
- To improve the quality and availability of online learning, and
- To expand access... to broadband Internet
We work toward these goals while continuing selling and repairing computers, creating software and social media, as well as managing hosting and domain registration.
