Join us for Click Smart, Plan Ahead, our next FREE Community Connection Series event, where we're bringing together local experts to share practical tips and resources for seniors and their families.

Thirty-three years. One cooperative. And just now, the recognition of a lifetime.

Congratulations to Robert Hunt, GVTC’s VP of Government Affairs, on receiving the Texas Telephone Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

A Hill Country native and former chairman of USTelecom, Robert has spent his career making sure rural communities have a voice in the rooms where broadband policy gets written. Our members have been better off for it. So have communities across Texas.

Well-deserved, Robert. Thank you for the work.

Some of the most important conversations aren’t always the easiest ones to have.

At our first Community Connection Series event, we came together to talk openly about mental health, wellness, online safety, and some of the challenges people in our community are navigating every day.

One of the most meaningful moments came when our own Roger Lewis shared his personal experience with mental health and wellness. We’re grateful for his willingness to share his story and bring a personal perspective to a conversation that matters.

Thank you to Connections Individual and Family Services for sharing their expertise and resources, and to the Mammen Family Public Library for welcoming us and giving our community a place to come together. And thank you to everyone who joined the conversation.

This is what community connection looks like to us: listening, learning, and showing up for one another.
