Once a month, our HR team swaps laptops for ice cream scoops and sets up shop for Sundaes on Friday, our recurring team tradition where employees get 30 minutes to slow down and build the perfect bowl.

This time around, the lineup was mango sherbet, cookies and cream, and vanilla, plus a full topping station for anyone who wanted to make theirs a little more extra.

How many scoops does it take to fill one bowl? Depends how many flavors you pick!

Securis is a finalist for the 2026 Moxie Award in the Technology category.

Now in its 10th year, the Moxie Award recognizes DC-metro organizations for Boldness in Business, honoring companies seen as innovative, fearless, and willing to take risks to grow.

The Technology category is usually filled with software and SaaS companies. For 25 years, we've approached IT asset disposition as an engineering problem. That's how we built DriveSnap AI, which keeps our audit-ready inventory accuracy above 99%, compared to an industry average around 85%.

900+ vehicles. 50,049 pounds. One day.

Last Saturday, Securis teamed up with Loudoun County for a community electronics recycling event, and the response was incredible. Residents showed up in force, and together we kept more than 50,000 pounds of electronics out of landfills.

A big thank you to the Loudoun County team, the volunteers, and the Securis crew who worked through the summer heat to make it happen.

Old electronics taking up space? Bring them to us this Saturday! Securis and Loudoun County are hosting an electronics recycling event at Dulles Town Center Mall.

Old computers, laptops, phones, game consoles, stereos, video players, TVs and monitors are all welcome.

We'll have hard drive destruction on site too, so any old drives you're nervous about can be handled securely before they leave your hands.

A few items carry a small fee (TVs and monitors, for example) and there are a couple things we can't take. See what's free, what costs, and what to leave at home here:

The memory market is falling again. It may not stay there long.
After a strong run, pricing has pulled back toward late Q3 levels.

𝐖𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠:

• RAM down roughly 30 to 40 percent from recent highs
• Desktop pricing correcting after an artificial lift
• Buyers shifting from aggressive accumulation to a measured posture

On its own, this looks like a standard reset.
But there's a new variable entering the market.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠:
Samsung workers have voted to authorize a potential strike. If it lands:

• Production gets disrupted
• Supply tightens quickly
• Pricing reverses

The impact spreads across:

• RAM
• SSDs
• Laptops, desktops, and servers

Anything tied to memory demand.
At the same time, global dynamics are shifting:

• Middle East shipping routes are effectively closed
• Shipping costs and transit times remain elevated
• Buyers are repositioning into new regions

We're seeing increased activity in:

• Africa
• Central and South America

The market isn't shrinking. It's relocating.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮:
• Pricing is currently favorable compared to recent highs
• Supply-side risk could change that quickly
• Timing decisions are getting more complex

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬:
We're adapting to where the market is moving:

• Expanding buyer networks in emerging regions
• Strengthening domestic and nearshore demand channels
• Maintaining flexibility as global conditions shift

We don't rely on one market. We move with them.
