The dual-program QIP-SDI HDMI, with one SDI and one HDMI input, sets a new standard for sports, motion and digital signage encoding. Dual hardware scalers accept content up to 1080p, shapes digital signage for edge-to-edge presentation, and compensates for non-broadcast and PAL refresh rates. Encoding as MPEG-2 or H.264, the QIP-SDI HDMI can output the content as single MPTS or two SPST Multicast or Unicast IPTV streams. Options include dual-language SAP audio, easy front-panel setup and alternate audio and NTSC video inputs. Web setup, monitoring, and firmware updates are available via USB and Ethernet ports. Two-across mounting offers up to four programs per rack space, with the ability to mix models to handle HDMI, SDI, and NTSC video sources.

Contemporary Research’s latest IPTV decoder with incorporated display control, the QIP-DVX IPTV Decoder/Controller offers display control functionality through CEC, RS-232 or IR. The unit is part of a family of products from Contemporary Research that can be used to form an end-to-end IPTV distribution system with control.

The decoder is compatible with unicast or multicast UDP and RTP IPTV streams and will accept MPEG-2 or H.264 single program or multiple program transport streams. A channel list of programs is uploaded from a PC running CR Toolbox software. Channel selection, volume, and power may be controlled from the front panel buttons, handheld IR remote, or external control system.

The QIP-DVX IPTV Decoder/Controller can receive commands from a Contemporary Research Display Express Server or Display Express software for channel selection, volume control, power, and display source selection. Power and source selection will be translated to the protocol required for the connected display and transmitted out the RS-232 or IR port.

The 232-ATSC 4K HDTV Tuner, the 5th-generation ATSC HDTV tuner from Contemporary Research, adds new capabilities to the industry-standard 232-ATSC series. New features include tuning H.264 programs up to 1080p, output scaling up to 4K, and IPTV streaming output via Ethernet port. The new tuner is fully compatible with control commands for previous models.

The integrator-friendly HDTV tuner is controllable with 2-way RS-232, IP Telnet and UDP, as well as wireless and wired IR commands. An onboard Web page enables remote configuration, control, and monitoring.

A full-featured, commercial grade HDTV tuner, the 232-ATSC 4K can receive both digital MPEG-2/H.264 and analog channels, in ATSC, clear QAM, and NTSC formats. Using an optional RF-AB switch, the tuner can switch between antenna and cable feeds.

Best of all, our free CR Toolbox Windows app can find all the tuners on the network. Then click each unit in the list to set up channels and features, access the onboard web page for control and testing, and install new firmware.
