This week our local newspaper included an article that covers our company. The article uses multiple statements made by a former Merkle Standard employee, Steve Wood. Mr. Wood has no affiliation or on-going relationship with Merkle Standard and has not been an employee for more than 1.5 years. His statements do not represent Merkle Standard, our current operations, or future plans. Unfortunately, Mr. Wood was the source used for much of the article and resulted in some inaccuracies.

We probably aren't quite as excited as Paulina Staab, but it's a close call. We also can't wait for tomorrow's event and are very happy we get to be a part of the festivities.

We've been quiet lately, but that is only because we have been keeping so busy. Wondering with what?? A quick highlight of some of the things we’ve had going on:
• In the first half of April, we donated a load of shop supplies and welding materials to the Selkirk High School vocational education programs. We always want to help provide for the future workforce.
• At the end of April, we participated in mock interviews at Newport High School. Such a great learning experience for the students and for us!
• In May we committed to being a return sponsor of the Newport and Pend Oreille County Rodeos. We are proud to be a multi-year return sponsor of both events!
• Earlier this week we hosted training for the Bomb Squad at our Usk facility. We appreciate all of our first responders and are honored to routinely provide them a safe and unique training location!

The summer is shaping up to be just as busy….
