Phishing (the use of malicious emails that cause the recipients to divulge sensitive information or perform a task to bypass the computer's security) is a common cyber security threat at home and in the workplace. However, a Ransomware Attack is potentially even more dangerous to your business - because the scammers "kidnap" your data and set a ransom amount that can be quite high. Anjolen Team Takes First Place in Wild West Hackin’ Fest CTF

During the week of June 14, 2021 members of Anjolen’s Cyber Operations, Information Security Services and Policy & Compliance teams attended the Wild West Hackin’ Fest held in Sparks, NV and virtually online. In addition to gaining knowledge from industry leaders, the Anjolen group set their sights on the Capture the Flag (CTF) hacking competition. With Anjolen team leaders Nick Doerner and Tristan Martin joining participants from Dakota State University, the Kernelpoppers team drew on their years of training, education and practical experience to hack their way through the competition to take first place overall.

Top-level competitions like this CTF allow Anjolen’s team to continuously increase their knowledge and hone their cybersecurity skills, all to the benefit of our current and future clients.
